These are pictures that I have taken over the years. There are so many things in this world that cause me to stand in awe of God--the whole earth is full of his glory!
Psalm 104:24 "O LORD, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your possessions."
Isaiah 6:3 "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory."
Romans 1:20 "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
Revelation 4:11 11 "Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created."
“While it becomes man seriously to employ his eyes in considering the works of God, since a place has been assigned him in this most glorious theater that he may be a spectator of them, his special duty is to give ear to the Word, that he may the better profit.” Calvin (Institutes, I, 6, 2)
“Meanwhile let us not be ashamed to take pious delight in the works of God open and manifest in this most beautiful theater." Calvin
Jonathan Edwards, A Personal Narrative (1703-1758) The appearance of everything was altered: there seemed to be, as it were, a calm, sweet cast, or appearance of divine glory, in almost everything. God's excellency, his wisdom, his purity and love, seemed to appear in everything; in the sun, moon and stars; in the clouds, and blue sky; in the grass, flowers, trees; in the water, and all nature; which used greatly to fix my mind. I often used to sit and view the moon, for a long time; and so in the daytime, spent much time in viewing the clouds and sky, to behold the sweet glory of God in these things: in the meantime, singing forth with a low voice, my contemplations of the Creator and Redeemer.
